Mary Ellen is a Registered Dietitian and a native of Evansville, IN. She graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics. She furthered her nutrition education at the University of Southern Indiana by taking classes which kept her current in the field. She completed her dietetic internship and received a Graduate Certificate, both from Iowa State University. Mary Ellen is Past-president of the Southwest Indiana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics where she attended state meetings regarding nutrition policy issues for her district. Mary Ellen has worked for companies who produce nutrition education materials by editing and creating new products. She very much enjoys her role as Vanderburgh County WIC Coordinator.
